As a member, you’re not just part of BCAR—you also have access to incredible benefits through the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. I encourage you to take a moment to explore our resource page to see how each level of membership supports your success.

We know dues season always comes with questions, so we’ve put together a helpful FAQ section below with the questions our staff receives most often.

Warmly,
Christy Manetta
President, BCAR 2026

What benefits do I receive for my 2026 dues?

As a Primary Realtor® member of the Bucks County Association of Realtors® (BCAR), you enjoy a full range of benefits from all three associations: BCAR, the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® (PAR), and the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). Your 2026 dues payment pays all three associations.

If you are a Secondary Member, your benefits will be specific to BCAR, and potentially also include PAR, depending on your selection.

2026 Membership Dues FAQ

How are BCAR members notified of their annual dues with BCAR, PAR, and NAR?

Members are emailed a notice that the annual dues invoice for BCAR, PAR, and NAR is available in their Member InfoHub.

Reminders are also sent via email, available in the BCAR newsletter, posted on Bright MLS in the association news, and brokers are notified.

When are annual dues for BCAR, PAR, and NAR due without penalty?

All payments are due without penalty by February 1, 2026.

Is there a late fee?

Yes, a late fee of $100 will be assessed on February 2, 2026.

Can I set up a payment plan for my annual dues with BCAR, PAR, and NAR?

No, BCAR only accepts annual dues as a single payment for the entire year.

What is the NAR Image fee? Do I have to pay this fee?

The NAR image fee funds the NAR Image Campaign, which includes TV and radio ads promoting the use of a REALTOR® in the purchase a home. Yes, the National Association of Realtors® requires each member to pay this fee.

What is an RPAC investment?

The REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) promotes the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates. The purpose of RPAC is clear: voluntary contributions made by REALTORS® are used to help elect candidates, regardless of party affiliation, who understand and support REALTOR® and real property issues, such as the mortgage interest and state and local tax deductions, to name just a few. These are not members’ dues; this is money given freely by REALTORS® in recognition of the importance of the political process.

Am I required to belong to PAR and NAR?

Yes, as a REALTOR® member, you are required to maintain membership in all three associations: National (NAR), State (PAR), and Local (BCAR). These memberships are mandatory, and all members must follow the current membership rules in place.

Can I make a partial payment?

No, all dues must be paid in full at one time.

Is a credit card the only form of payment that BCAR accepts for annual dues?

BCAR’s preferred form of payment is a credit card through the BCAR Member InfoHub. If you are unable to use a credit card, please email [email protected] to make alternate arrangements.

Can I split my payment on more than one credit card?

No, you can only use one card to make a payment.

Are dues refundable?

No, dues payments are non-refundable.

I cannot remember if I paid my dues - where can I look?

Members can sign into their BCAR Member InfoHub account. On the left side, select ‘My Billing Info’, then across the top look, select ‘Billing History’. All invoices and payments will be reflected in the ‘Billing History’.

What should I do if I don't remember my BCAR Member InfoHub sign-on?

If you remember your ‘Username’ but cannot remember your password, you can select ‘Forgot’ to reset your password.

If you do not remember your ‘Username’ and/or ‘Password’, email [email protected] or call 215-956-9176 Option 1.

How does a Broker handle payment if they choose to pay an agent’s dues?

Brokers can pay agent fees by signing onto their BCAR Member InfoHub account.

What are the requirements for maintaining a Realtor® membership?

Licensure – A member must continue to maintain an active Real Estate license in Pennsylvania or a state contiguous thereto. If your license becomes inactive, escrowed, or placed with a referral company, your membership is required to be cancelled.

Affiliation – A member must affiliate their license with a Designated REALTOR® of an office that belongs to Bucks County Association of Realtors® (BCAR). If the Designated REALTOR® does not belong to BCAR, either he/she has to opt to join the organization or the member must consider joining the local organization to which the Designated REALTOR® already belongs.

Dues – A member must remit the annual membership payment to BCAR for their local, state and national dues. If a member fails to remit payment and is still actively licensed in a primary REALTOR® office, then the Association is required to bill the broker/manager for the licensee as a non-member.

Education – A member must complete the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics and Fair Housing requirement every three years (current deadline is December 31, 2027).

My license is in referral or no longer active, do I need to notify BCAR?

Yes, please email BCAR at [email protected].

How do I make my license inactive?

To place your real estate license on inactive status, follow these steps:

  1. Notify your broker – Your broker must be made aware of your intent to go inactive before any changes are made.

  2. Update your status in PALS – Log into the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS) and submit the request to make your license inactive.

  3. BCAR Members Should Email BCAR – Email [email protected] to inform the Association of your status change so your membership records can be updated accordingly.

I made my license inactive on the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS), can I update my BCAR membership status online?

No, please contact BCAR at [email protected] to make membership changes.
