When is PA license renewal due?
License renewal is due by May 31, 2026.
What education is required for license renewal?
Anyone licensed before 12/1/2025 must complete 14 hours of continuing education.
- Requirement for those licensed before 12/1/23- A minimum of 5 (five) hours of the required 14 hours of continuing education must be taken in the following topics: 2 hours in Fair Housing and 3 Hours in Agency Relationship.
- Requirements for those licensed between 12/1/23 and 12/1/2025- You are required to complete 14 hours of mandatory education. Every new licensee must complete the General Module (7 hours). Then can choose between the Residential Module (7 hours) or the Commercial Module (7 hours).
- Anyone licensed after 12/1/25 will not take CE for the renewal period 2024-2026.

How do I renew my license?
The Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission (SREC) will notify all real estate license holders via email when the license renewal is open.
Your license must be renewed by May 31, 2026 once renewal is open. Details here
A licensed agent can not renew until the broker renews.
Renewal will take place online only. There will be no paper applications.
If a licensee does not renew their license by May 31, 2026, they will need to log into the PA Real Estate Commission's PALS system.
How do I obtain my registration code?
BCAR does not have access to your PALS user name, password, or registration code.
