(Warminster, PA)- The Bucks County Association of REALTORS® (BCAR) collected approximately $9,000 in school supplies and monetary donations during its annual School Supplies Drive benefiting the Bucks County Housing Group.
Thanks to the generosity of BCAR members and community supporters, the drive collected 112 backpacks, $127.25 in online donations, $500 in checks, $100 in gift cards, and a wide variety of essential school supplies.
“Our members consistently demonstrate their commitment to the communities they serve,” said BCAR President Christy Manetta. “Their generosity will help ensure local students begin the school year with the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed.”
The drive was organized by the BCAR Reach Out Committee, which coordinates charitable initiatives throughout the year to support individuals and families across Bucks County.
“We are grateful to every member who donated supplies, contributed financially, promoted the drive, or volunteered their time,” said Reach Out Committee Co-Chairs Joe McCarthy and Stacy Hunn. “This incredible response shows what we can accomplish when our members come together for a shared purpose.”
The donated supplies and funds will support children and families served by the Bucks County Housing Group.
“Starting a new school year can place an additional financial burden on families already facing housing instability,” said Bucks County Housing Group Executive Director Erik Clare. “These donations provide students with essential supplies while also reminding families that their community supports them. We sincerely thank BCAR and its members for their continued generosity.”
The success of this year’s School Supplies Drive reflects the generosity and community spirit of BCAR members. Through their continued support, local students and families will begin the school year better prepared and with the knowledge that their community is behind them.
