The Bucks County housing market remained active in February, with steady demand from buyers and home values continuing to hold strong.
According to the Bucks County Association of REALTORS® (BCAR), the median home sale price in February was $470,000, slightly lower than January but modestly higher than this time last year. Homes are also continuing to sell at a healthy pace, with the average home selling in about one month.
Buyer activity picked up significantly during the month, with more buyers entering the market and signing contracts compared to January. At the same time, the number of homes available for sale remains limited, which continues to keep the market competitive.
BCAR President Christy Manetta says the market reflects the strong demand to live in Bucks County.
“Bucks County continues to be an incredibly desirable place to live, work, and raise a family,” said Manetta. “While demand remains strong, affordability is a real concern for many buyers. We’re encouraged to see Bucks County legislators actively working on solutions that can help address housing affordability and create more opportunities for people who want to live in our communities.”
The spring market typically brings even more activity, and buyers and sellers alike are encouraged to work with a REALTOR® who understands the local market and can help guide them through the process.
