Warminster, PA — The Bucks County Association of REALTORS® (BCAR) is calling on the local community to participate in its annual Thanksgiving Dinner Food Drive. As part of the REALTORS® Reach Out Month, this initiative aims to support families in need by collecting food and grocery gift cards for the Bucks County Housing Group’s food pantries in Doylestown and Penndel.
“Our community is stronger when we come together,” said Stephanie Garomon, President of the Bucks County Association of Realtors®. “By donating even a few items, each of us can help ensure that our neighbors have a warm and nourishing meal this Thanksgiving. This is an opportunity for all of Bucks County to show just how much we care.”
How the Community Can Help
BCAR is seeking donations of the following non-perishable Thanksgiving meal items:
- Instant Mashed Potatoes
- Canned Fruits (pears, peaches, applesauce, fruit cocktail)
- Boxed Stuffing Mix
- Canned Vegetables: Corn, Green Beans, Yams
- Canned Cranberry Sauce
- Turkey Gravy (Jar or Can)
- Dessert Mixes: Canned Pumpkin, Pie Crust Mix, Cake Mix with Frosting
In addition, BCAR is asking for $15 grocery gift cards from local stores such as Shop Rite, Acme, Giant, or ALDI to assist with turkey purchases. Disposable roasting pans are also appreciated.
“This food drive isn’t just about collecting groceries,” said Anne Costello, Reach Out Chair. “It’s about ensuring that everyone in our community can gather around the table and share in the joy of the holiday season. We’re asking the Bucks County community to join us in making a tangible difference.”
Donation Drop-Off Information
Donations will be accepted at various locations from October 1 to October 31 at the following drop-off points:
- RE/MAX Centre, Jamison
- McCarthy Real Estate, Feasterville
- Coldwell Banker Hearthside, Newtown
- Keller Williams, Doylestown
- RE/MAX Legacy, Chalfont
- River Valley Properties, New Hope
- And more locations listed on BCAR's website.
