Warminster, PA — The Bucks County Association of Realtors® (BCAR) proudly announces the overwhelming success of its July School Supplies Drive, benefiting the Bucks County Housing Group (BCHG). The drive, which aimed to provide local students with essential school supplies, raised an estimated total value of $3,300 in donations, including 92 fully packed backpacks and 75 backpacks with accompanying school supplies.

BCAR President Stephanie Garomon expressed her gratitude for the generosity shown by the BCAR members and the local community. "We are thrilled with the outcome of this year’s drive," said Garomon. "This initiative reflects the spirit of collaboration and compassion that is at the heart of BCAR. By coming together, we’ve made a tangible impact on the lives of students in our area, ensuring they have the tools they need to start the school year with confidence."

The majority of the backpacks packed for the drive included binders, pencils, folders, notebooks, paper, glue, pencil cases, and 5 advanced graphing calculators were donated.

Anne Costello, Chair of BCAR's Reach Out Committee, praised the initiative's success and recognized the effort of volunteers who contributed to its organization. "We could not have achieved these results without the dedication and generosity of our members," said Costello. "Providing these students with the resources they need for the school year not only lightens the financial load for their families but also helps to set them up for academic success."

In addition to the supplies collected, BCAR members presented a $100 check to the Bucks County Housing Group to further support their efforts in providing resources for local families.

Bucks County Housing Group Executive Director Erik Clare commented on the impact of the donations. "The school supplies drive organized by BCAR makes a significant difference in the lives of the children we serve," Clare stated. "These donations go beyond just providing materials; they help foster a sense of readiness and inclusion as students prepare to return to school. We are deeply grateful for BCAR’s continued support of our mission."

The Bucks County Housing Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families achieve stability and self-sufficiency by providing affordable housing and supportive services. The supplies collected through the BCAR July School Supplies Drive will be distributed directly to the families served by BCHG, ensuring that children in need have the tools necessary for a successful school year.
